I am writing to bring to your attention the significant inconvenience caused by the suspension of the Narsapur to Guntur Fast Passenger train, which used to depart from Narsapur at 6:00 a.m. This train was a crucial mode of transportation for several thousand people, including students, business persons, and job holders from Mogalthur, Narasapuram, Palakollu, Veeravasaram, Bhimavaram, Aakiveedu, Kaikaluru, Gudivada, and many other mandals.


The discontinuation of this service has caused considerable hardship for the daily commuters who relied on it to reach their respective destinations on time. Students are facing difficulties in attending their classes, business persons are unable to manage their appointments effectively, and job holders are struggling to report to work punctually.


Given the critical role that this train service played in the lives of many, I kindly request you to consider the restoration of the Narsapur to Guntur Fast Passenger train at the earliest convenience. The resumption of this train will greatly alleviate the commuting challenges faced by the people and help them resume their daily activities without further disruption.


We trust that the South-central Railways, Vijayawada will understand the urgency of this matter and take immediate steps to restore this vital service. Your prompt action in this regard will be highly appreciated by all the affected passengers.

Nepal's Earthquake

 


A 6.4 magnitude earthquake struck Nepal on November 4, 2023, killing at least 133 people. The epicenter of the quake was in the Jajarkot district, about 200 kilometers west of Kathmandu. The quake was felt across Nepal and in neighboring India.


The earthquake caused widespread damage, with hundreds of houses and buildings collapsing. Many people spent the night out in the open for fear of aftershocks and damage to their homes.


Rescue workers are still searching for survivors and providing aid to those affected by the quake. The Nepalese government has appealed for international assistance to help with the relief effort.


The earthquake is the strongest to hit Nepal since 2015, when a 7.8 magnitude quake killed nearly 9,000 people and injured over 22,000. Nepal is located in a seismically active region and is prone to earthquakes.
